Halloween and More!!

This year for Halloween we went up North to visit Cody's family in Cottonwood. We dressed Layni up like a little Ducky and she looked so cute. We took her to a few houses to trick or treat and she was so confused. Why are all these people giving me candy?! She loved it! For the rest of the weekend Layni got to hangout with all of her girl cousins and they had a blast. We went to there soccer games on Saturday and we discovered Layni's talents with a soccer ball. Not only can she kick a soccer ball but she already did a forward roll and she loves joining in with my tumbling kids when I am teaching a class. She may be a princess but she sure knows how to get down and dirty!! We taught her right!! haha

Layni and Shacee(her 3 year old cousin) Shacee loves Layni more than anything! She plays with her all day. She is pretty much Layni's babysitter when we are up there because she keeps her busy all day and then lets me know when Layni is doing something naughty. I love it!! I can't believe how much these girls look alike too!! They both have a lot of Backus in them(which I love)!!

SOCCER BABY!!!!!

Our third soccer season with the Striking Force team has come to an end!! Thanks everyone for making it so much fun!! All I have to say is if you had fun you won!! I can't wait until next season!

Layni's 1 year old Birthday Party

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of Layni's 1 year old birthday!! She turned one on September 27th. We did a water party with all of her cousins. Layni was sick with ear infections and a fever but she still had a blast. She loved her cupcake!!! She tried to eat the number 1 candle before the cupcake haha. She may only be 16 lbs but she had a lot of personality and attidute in her! We love her so much!!! Scroll down through all my new posts. I did like 4 new ones...finally! haha :)

Here are some pictures of Layni playing with her birthday toys. The first pic of Layni in the bucket was at her Party. She was sick with a fever, so she sat in a bucket of jacuzzi water. haha she was pretty happy there!

I made a delicious rasberry bread pudding for Cody and I one night and its was amazing! Cody was so excited to eat it...as you can see!
My mom got Layni her own atc for her 1 year old birthday. She loves to sit on it and push all the buttons. I will post more pics from her birthday soon. She doesn't look super happy because she was sick on her birthday. She still had fun though.

So you think you can DANCE!!!!

We went to the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE show last night and it was AWESOME!!! I honestly don't think there is a better show out there. I was afraid after going last year that this year's show wouldn't be as good but it was just as amazing!! The dancers are so awesome and if you watch the show, you definitely need to go see them live next year!! It is so worth it. I am definitely going front row next year :)

Cody's Birthday and Lots of Pics

Happy Birthday Codes!! 27 Now! Crazy huh! I just call him old man :) We are only 4 years apart but it still seems crazy to me that he is 27 already. He is such a crazy, fun little kid still!! His birthday was on September 4th and for his birthday I bought him a new wedding ring, since he lost his in the river in Colorado this summer. I got down on one knee and proposed to him! It was fun and he loved the ring! Thank goodness cuz I picked it out and it was different from the first one. I also got him a sushi kit and we got together with Cody's friends and made homeade sushi! For all you sushi fans, you have got to try it!! It is 10 times cheaper and still so delicious! We had so much fun making it too!! Happy Birthday Codes....I love you!!!





Layni is turning "1" this month. Time has just flown by. She has been walking since 10 months old and she is so strong. This picture is of her hanging on the basketball hoop all by herself. Although she seems to be really strong, I think she was just afraid to let go in case know one was there to catch her :)

Thanks to my Grandma Myrlene, we had a fun birthday dinner for Cody and a celebration for my cousin Shawny who is leaving on her mission soon. We went to Pete's fish and chips. My grandma always has the signs and the party hats! Everyone was staring at us, but I think that's what makes it so much fun! I love you Grandma!

We were able to go meet Cody's brother's at Lake Pleasant a couple weeks ago and Layni got to play with her cousin's all day. She doesn't see them enough, so when we are with them, she soaks it all up being with so many little girls!! She loves her cousins!!
